Introducing Sofie Kirk!

Late yesterday morning, Alicia and I brought home the latest addition to the growing Kirk family. Little Sofie Kirk, a chocolate dapple mini-dachshund, is quite a character let me tell you. She’s chalk full of personality (similar to Oliver) and boy does she ever like to play. We were fortunate enough to get Sofie from the same breeder as Ollie and we know we’ll end up with an equally well-adjusted dog the second time around. I think genetics and how the dogs are handled as little puppies has a dramatic affect on long-term behavior.
When Ollie was really young, I did several installments of a journal detailing some of the things we went through early on with him. It’s located over here. We’ll probably do something similar with Sofie, so feel free to check my website for updates in the near future.
Not to mention the tons of pictures that we’ll post over the upcoming months and years.
