We Are Going to the Superbowl!

It’s been a long time coming, but finally the Pittsburgh Steelers are heading to the Superbowl! In possibly Jerome Bettis’ last season in the NFL, his teammates made sure that he would get an opportunity to end his storied career in his home town of Detroit.
Alicia and I enjoyed watching the game yesterday against the Denver Broncos. The Steelers really dominated play and other than some soft defense for about a 10 minute stretch in the second half, the game wasn’t overly stressful for us Steeler fans.
Will they win the Superbowl? They face a tough team in the Seattle Seahawks. Their offense has been good for several years but this year their defense really came on. They did lead the league in sacks with 50 and they’re able to get a lot of pressure without blitzing their linebackers and safeties very much.
Hopefully the Steelers will come out and play with the passion they’ve showed for about 7 weeks in a row now. Getting to Detroit isn’t enough, we need to win! Go Steelers!
