Stuff. Things. Changes.

With my beautiful wife spending some time with her friends in Pennsylvania this weekend, I was living the life of a bachelor up here in Canada. For the most part, I resigned myself to geek activities:

  • I rebuilt my home file server; converting it from Windows Server 2003 to FreeBSD and adding 160GB of mirrored storage.
  • Hooz and I implemented a new web-design and content management system on 2CPU.com. Most of our patrons seem to think that it looks sweet.
  • I prepared to migrate my workstation from Windows XP SP2 to FreeBSD. That change will be implemented later in the week once I sort out some minor hardware compatibility issues.

Oh, I almost forgot. The frickin’ Steelers lost.

I’m also taking my Image Gallery offline. I’ve decided that I’m going to host all of my images from the web server running in my house as opposed to this machine that’s hosted in Virginia. I’m also going to be restricting access to the gallery to only family and friends (it will be password protected). Too many people directly link to images I’m hosting and I really don’t like it. If you’re a family member and you’d like the credentials, feel free to email me or post in the comment thread.
