25,000km and Climbing!
Published:
In November of last year, I traded in my trusty old 1995 Honda Civic Coupe and purchased a 2003 Honda Accord Sedan. Considering all the driving I do back and forth to see the future Mrs. Kirk, it seemed like a wise decision. Who wants to be stuck on the side of I90 in the middle of freaking nowhere after dark? Not me, that’s who.
Anyways, I rolled over the 25,000km mark this past weekend so I thought now would be a good time to update everyone on how the car’s been running. Actually, I guess there isn’t really that much to say since it’s been flawless since day one other than a small annoyance with the cd changer.
The main thing for me has been the improvement in my level of comfort on those long drives back and forth to Pennsylvania. It’s been a huge step up in comfort for me, being a lanky guy at 6’7”. I rarely feel sore at all after a long drive which wasn’t the case when I was crammed into “The Civic”.
I did notice the “Required Maintenance” light come on this weekend which freaked me out a little bit until I called Honda and they told me that was just something pre-programmed from the factory. Consulting the manual showed me how to shut that sucker off.
In other news, Alicia and I had some engagement photos taken this weekend. They were pretty casual but we did get several shots that we liked and will end up in frames and newspaper announcements and what not. You can take a look at the proofs, if you like.
