We caught an early afternoon matinee of The Matrix: Reloaded on Saturday in Erie, PA and I must say Alicia and I both enjoyed it quite a bit. The martial arts sequences were tremendous and there was a car chase scene that was nothing short of phenomenal. I’m not going to discuss plot lines or anything of that sort. The one thing I’m quite curious about is how much General Motors had to pay to have the privilege of supplying the vehicles for the 14-minute long car chase in the movie? Trinity, Morpheus and the Keymaker looked quite comfortable bombing along in their flashy Cadillac CTS and the Twin bad dudes were styling and profiling in their Cadillac EXT. Apparently every vehicle on the highway in that chase was a GM vehicle, but I can’t say that I noticed.

Alicia and I also got outside and ran around a little over the weekend. We played around with a cheap volleyball we picked up at Old Navy, threw the softball around a bit, went for a little hike in the woods and even shot a few hoops. We realized something: we’re out of shape. We whined a little bit, I popped a few Advil for my knee and it all worked itself out. We had fun, so we’re going to keep with it.
Ever since the move to St. Catharines, I’ve been suffering from some serious allergy problems. I couldn’t really pin it down to anything in particular until today when I walked into a drug store and spoke with a pharmacist. Apparently I can expect much higher pollen counts and what not in the air in this region of Ontario and it’s nothing to be surprised by. She hooked me up with some Clariton “Liberator” and after taking one this morning at around 10:45AM, I can breathe through my nose again for the first time in about 3 weeks. So woo. Cross your fingers for me.
