Saint Catharines Here I Come!

When you least expect it… something good happens. On Monday I was offered a job with the Ministry of Transportation in Saint Catharines, Ontario. After taking an evening to discuss it with Alicia and my parents, I accepted on Tuesday. My first day will be on April 28th, which means I have a lot of work to do in a relatively short period of time. The apartment search has already begun and I’ll be in Saint Catharines on Tuesday of next week visiting several complexes.
This is great for a lot of reasons, most notably of course is distance from Alicia. My travel time will be reduced from approximately 8 hours to about 2.5. Furthermore, I’ll be finished with shift work for the time being. Evenings and weekends to myself? Yeah I’ll take that.
I’m sure you’ll hear from me again once I’m settled into my new pad and my broadband is activated. Cross your fingers for me that I’ll find a great place. 
UPDATE: I found an apartment this morning and will be moving in on the 25th. Wooo. Now I just have to get my stuff moved…
UPDATE #2: I’m all packed up and ready to roll. The movers should be here shortly (Monday) to pick up my stuff and I’ll be leaving North Bay tomorrow. Wednesday morning I’ll be moving into the new place in St. Catharines. Wooo.
