I couldn’t think of an interesting way to start this post off.

What’s been going on in my life? Well, besides work (woo?) not a whole heck of a lot. When you work six 12 hour shifts in eight days, everything begins to blur together. My downtime is usually spent either sleeping or watching television for the most part because motivation is a serious problem when you work this much in a short period of time.

NBA Finals: I’ve been following the NBA Playoffs really closely, as I’m a big basketball nut. The New Jersey Nets have made it to the NBA Finals, baby. Jason Kidd averaged a triple-double (double digits in three major statisical categories) against the Boston Celtics. He’s only the third player -ever- to do this in a playoff series. Who were the other two? Only these two guys by the name of Oscar Robertson and Wilt Chamberlin. Out west we saw the Lakers reign victorious over the Sacramento Kings. While it is true that the Lakers won two games that they shouldn’t have (one game on a last second three pointer by Horry and another the referees gave them), Sacramento still could have won this series had they hit their free throws. No excuses for that, they deserve to be golfing. My predictions for the Finals? Lakers in 6. I’d love to see the Nets win, but it’s just highly unlikely.

T-minus ~two weeks and counting until I venture south to see Alicia again. We’re both really anxious. I just don’t seem to be able to feel truly relaxed and comfortable when she’s not around.
