Alright, I’m 1 and 4. I must improve, so here we go again. First let’s list the games on tap for this weekend:

  • Philadelphia at Chicago
  • Oakland at New England
  • Baltimore at Pittsburgh
  • Green Bay at St. Louis

In the first contest, I’m going to take Chicago by a couple of field goals. I’m not sure if Miller can make it happen, but I hope so. Second, I’m going to take Oakland over New England. This is a matter of experience and big game players. Tim Brown probably felt a little ‘ignored’ last week because he didn’t get a lot of touches. I think Gannon will be throwing the ball his way more this week. I say Raiders by a touchdown in this one. Thirdly, you know I’m going to pick the Steelers. I’m slightly concerned as Baltimore is tough (especially on the run), and Bettis might be rusty. I think this will be close, but I’ll give the Steelers the edge by a field goal (which in of itself is scary because that field goal will have to be kicked by Kris Brown… shudder). Lastly, I’ll take St. Louis over the Packers. Green Bay is a good team, and Brett Farve is an amazing big game quarterback, but the Rams are just too good.

I’m hoping to have a visitor this weekend for the games, as I’m trying to prod duke into travelling to North Bay. You should email him and tell him to get off his lazy butt and come visit me for some Dreamcast, Chinese Food and Football.

I’m done.

UPDATE: Oh, I almost forgot… Today is Cory’s birthday. Happy Birthday you wanker.

UPDATE from This Weekend’s Football Action: I only went 2/4 this weekend. I suck. Saturday was a total loss. I didn’t think the Eagles could beat the Bears… but it happened. The Raiders / Patriots game was pretty fun to watch, until that terrible call that cost the Raiders the game. That rule will be changed. That was a fumble if I’ve ever seen one. Today was more up my alley. The Steelers defended their way into the AFC Championship game and the Rams were… well… the Rams. That brings me to an anemic 3/8. I doubt Fox or CBS will be calling me anytime soon offering me a job as a football analyst. sigh.
